The mission of the Prestonwood Career Transitions ministry is to biblically minister to and disciple those in career transitions by increasing awareness of the resources within Prestonwood, and by networking with key relationships within the body of Christ.

Career Transitions Ministries

Career Transition Class:
Join us every Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in Room A210-211. This free class encourages and teaches various aspects of job search skill development, as well as offering networking and job leads.

No Registration Required. Just show up on time to the class.

Career Assessment Tools:
We offer an assessment test that provides a detailed report to help you understand your unique makeup and the type of work that would be a good match for you. No matter how much work experience you have, it is highly recommended that you take this detailed 45-minute test and receive this valuable feedback. In addition, you will receive a personalized Action Plan that will outline your strategy to find your next job. To take this test, please call Ms. Pam Chandler at 972-820-5140 to make an appointment. Outside placement agencies will charge $250 for this type of testing, but your charge as a Prestonwood member or guest is only $6 to cover the cost of the printed materials you receive. Biblical Discipleship:
If you have lost your job, you are not alone. God’s Word states plainly in James 1:2-3 that in the Christian life there are trials of many kinds, and job loss is certainly one of them. We can know that God is honored by our faith and trust in Him through job loss, producing maturity and strong character. Through the Biblical Discipleship ministry, a Christian brother or sister will encourage you, assist you, and share God’s Word with you during this job search season.

Networking Ministry:
The best way to find a new position is through your network of contacts. Prestonwood provides a wide range of ministry opportunities that will provide you the chance to serve and meet new contacts. You’ll be amazed at how God places people in our lives to make a difference, if we will get involved.
